Stream Energy offers income-generating opportunities for its customers as well as its sales associates. Sales associates usually start as customers before pursuing Stream’s business opportunity.
There are five levels of the independent associate and three leadership levels that determine compensation types and amounts. Stream Energy boasts many ways to make money with this opportunity that include monthly energy income, quick start bonuses, leadership income and residual income.
Before giving up your day job to become a Stream Energy sales associate you should know that Pyramid Scheme Alert, a watchdog agency, reported less than one percent of Stream sales associates made enough money to live on with the program.
Robert FitzPatrick, who runs the watchdog group, examined income disclosures from Stream’s website for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Fitzpatrick, who has served as an expert witness in pyramid cases, claims his calculations show 90 percent of Stream’s sales force lost nearly all their investments; 8.5 percent made no profit; only 1 percent made what he said amounts to minimum wage-level income and fewer than 0.1 percent earned a substantial income.
Nearly 90 percent of associates lost all of the money that they invested with Stream Energy, which includes an initial entrance fee of $329 and a $29 monthly maintenance fee.

Often, a review is requested a mere few days after enrolling in a new energy plan, which may not be an adequate amount of time for a customer to experience the product or service.
Many customers who take the time to leave feedback typically do so as an effort to resolve a problem and are using negative feedback as a forum to draw attention to their issue.
Customers who leave positive reviews are generally incentivized to do so and therefore tend to be biased.
So what are we left with? There are a few long-standing customer review portals that attempt to remove bias. One of these is the Better Business Bureau and the other is the Public Utility Commision of Texas.
